This is what I don't get about people who use AI. The whole point of writing is writing. Like ... what are you even doing here if you don't like writing? Go cook. Go hiking. Go ride a bike. Go play a video game. If you don't like writing ... then don't? But you can't claim a title you did not earn.
That’s the other thing that baffles me about AI and creative writing, actually.
The work IS the joy for me. I don’t want to be able to snap my fingers and have a completed “product.” I want to be transformed by the process. I’m an author but I do this because I enjoy the rigor of being a writer.

In terms of process, I enjoy writing but revising????? Oh, that’s my real kink. A second or third draft???? A fourth???? Making tweaks on my desktop AND my phone???? *moans* I’m a WHORE for revision.

As much as I hate to be the kind of person that feels superior for being a reader, there are two groups of people for whom reading is an essential activity. If you're a member of these two groups and don't read, it's an immediate red flag.

5/40 sections of the manuscript revised. Some bits cut, some line edits made, details changed for plot reasons, others for worldbuilding ones. The plan is to query early next year and well, it seems possible.

If I ever need a reminder why I often prefer spending time with fictional people to real ones, all I need to do is use some means of public transport while not wearing my headphones. In the middle of the day, when people who don't understand why headphones and speakerphones exist use it too.

I just bought this beautiful edition of one of my formative books recently: The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. A book which first awoke my love for mysterious houses, grumpy, unlikeable characters, heartwarming stories, and also, Yorkshire. I'm looking forward to a reread.

Some time ago I saw a TikTok claiming - rightly - that lady knight stories should be sapphic. So, you can trust that when I write lady knights, a whole bunch of them (all of them? 👀) will be sapphic, including but not limited to my glorious butch queen, Iluaneh.

1.3K words written in the little story exploring my girl knights, with already 9/15 of them mentioned, not counting Iluaneh, who is there too (obviously), minus Aneliya, who isn't there yet. The story takes place weeks before book one begins.
