You can't fix stupid, but you can sell it red caps, dumb flags, gold sneakers, autographed bibles, ugly watches, worthless stock, and empty promises.

I have three questions:

1. What the fuck is this person jabbering about?

2. Why isn’t the media covering this like they did Biden’s gaffes?

3. How does someone this mentally impaired still have the nuclear codes?
I'm more of a silver (or white gold) guy myself.

But that crappy, Hallmark store script is garbage in any color.
You're 100% correct.

I'm afraid that @hopegirlxo.bsky.social is blinded by her zealotry and cannot conceive of a world where even bad people can occasionally do good things.

This is a problem for those who view the world in stark black-and-white terms and refuse to see that life is deeply complex.
The copium on display today by Republicans is pretty damn sweet, if I do say so.
The copium this morning in MAGAstan has really been something to behold.
Johnson: I don't think the loss last night was any reflection about Republicans at all.
I grew up in Nassau County in an era when it was a Republican bastion, then returned in my 30s as it was much more Democratic.

I've since lived in NYC, and now the Hudson Valley (which is purple trending bluish). I'm sad to see Nassau regress this way.

What TF is wrong with Jacobs?
Not only says horrible things, but expressly targeted her father for special abuse.
”You can’t make a Tomlette without breaking some Gregs.”
I would also note that certainly in my lifetime and likely ever, it is an entirely unprecedented act for a VP to cross party lines, and it spoke to the urgency of the moment.

That is what I would hope for from ALL public officials, regardless of their political affiliations.
When a lifelong Republican--especially one who served at the very highest level of the federal government--is willing to defy his party and cross over to endorse the Democratic nominee for president, that is a dramatic act and provides a permission structure for other Republicans to vote accordingly
The President of the United States, who made billions off his crypto scam, took delivery of a jet from Qatar, and just hosted an obscenely expensive Gatsby party, is threatening to defy a court in order to ensure that the neediest Americans, including millions of children, are denied food assistance
I don’t think any sane person would tout Cheney as a “hero.” But like with Pence, I’m perfectly willing to acknowledge when they did stand up to Trump.

But in both cases, what they did was not enough and was done much later than it should have been.
If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: if Biden tweeted anything this delusional, the press would talk about nothing else.

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

I see that CBS chose not to air this part. It probably explains much of what they did decide to air.
Last night in an interview with “60 Minutes” the President of the United States said he thought that ICE hadn’t gone far enough in its brutality and claimed he knew nothing about the deeply corrupt crypto billionaire he just pardoned.

Both huge revelations. Neither on the front page of @nytimes.com
The only amendment I give a rat's ass about right now is the 25th.
I'll bet he still thinks Betamax is a thing.
The first time Trump was went to a church as president was the day that he had peaceful protesters tear-gassed to do a photo of himself holding a bible upside down.

The idea that he gives a rat's ass about Christians being "killed" is beyond laughable.

I don't resent poor people who use food stamps to buy another soft drink.

I resent rich people who take away the funds for food stamps to buy another yacht.
Well, his health insurance isn't at risk, so he can afford to take a hard line.
In 2024 we had breathless, nonstop coverage of Biden's decline--a constant drumbeat of videos of his stumbles and gaffes and endless speculation about what was wrong and how much longer he could hold out.

We're getting none of that now because the media is always lowering the bar for Trump.
The decline isn’t subtle anymore.
