Son came in from concert and got take out, left on the bench where the cats knocked it onto the floor, where the dog after escaping from his crate in the night gobbled a half chicken carcass bones and all. So now because of this idiot chain I need to WFH and monitor the dog for distress.

Sometimes I let my wife think I’ve zipped up the dog in his little bed when I haven’t and then late at night he’ll hop up and sleep on my feet.

So if you were looking for a badass here abouts, ya found him. 🤜😈

This is why I love the Snake Plissken meme so much. Hard agree!

Not sure if its hilarious or tragic that AI growth grossly inflating the cost of consumer computer memory will pretty much wipe out any supposed gains from actually using AI by most major companies for at least the next ten years.

I kinda just want to be in a Legend of Zelda marriage. My wife saves the world and if anyone tries to stop her I hit them with a sword.

Predator Badlands was a lot of fun. Good time at the cinema.

Hate to say it, but after seeing Frankenstein at a cinema of loud and annoying people a few weeks back, I’m much preferring seeing it at home on a 65 inch OLED with my cats and schnauzer lying on me.

I don’t want cinema to die, and maybe I’m getting old, but the experience is losing its luster.

Some rat camping the elevator killed me in Arc Raiders and I lost a heap of good stuff and my zip line gun, but he also said ‘I’m so sorry about this, I love you’ just before he knocked me out which was weird.

We’ve got less than 20 years left of coral reefs. We’ve completely destroyed a complex ecosystem older than us in about a century and its never coming back.

This should be a species wide shame that drives us to action but I doubt it.

Instead of trying to explain that I’m not really a cynic who hates everyone I’m just going to direct to the song People by Andrew Jackson Jihad that neatly covers my world view.

In case you needed something uplifting today the couple in this iconic photo from the 2011 Stanley Cup riots are still together and have kids now.

After three incidents of absolute betrayal in a row I am officially off the ‘being nice to other players in solo’ attitude in Arc Raiders.

I got downed by a leaper in #ArcRaiders just as the elevator opened and made it in to escape and just as I activated the return someone came in and killed me which has to be just the lowest of the low kind of kill in a game.

Like they weren’t even going to be able to loot me!

That feeling when you roll over in bed and accidentally close your phone and you know you’ll need to watch 3 minutes of youtube ads again just to get back to where you were and you decide you just don’t give enough of a shit.

In Arc Raiders, see a drone shooting at someone from a third story balcony. Shoot the drone and shout a greeting. They shout back a thank you. This game is a delight.

I’d actually forgotten just how good the 2021 Suicide Squad was, wildly violent, hilarious, terrific action scenes, every character gets a satisfying arc, full frontal male nudity. What more could you ask for.

Trip to the gym, made a chicken satay stir fry, watched Suicide Squad and played some Arc Raiders. Just a perfect little quiet evening. Heading to bed now to read The Devils by J Abercrombie to cap it off.

A rare interview with the creators of the always-funny, always-brilliant, and *usually*-sexy—or occasionally anti-sexy—OGLAF!

Cooper has kept a low profile over the years, but is legitimately one of the very best artists in comics today. Read OGLAF if you're old enough to drive!
Talking Oglaf with Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne: 'We'd stay up all night drawing stuff to make each other laugh' - The Comics Journal
Other than some time off every year for Christmas, Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne have delivered a new Oglaf comic, skewering fantasy tropes with absolutely not safe for work humor, every week since 2008...
