While 2025 had some great moments it was overall a pretty rough year for me. So fitting that I'm spending the last day of it staying in sick. Can't wait to make 2026 much better than this one. Happy new year's everyone.

It's funny. My wife and I really don't do presents for each other but this year my family did secret Santa and I ended up with her and then we did a white elephant and I ended with something from her.

This week we were joined by @hanweirgarrison.bsky.social to discuss magic judging and policy. This one's worth checking out if you play competitive magic, regardless of format.

Just reread Vision by Tom King.
What an absolute masterpiece. It's really dark but has a beautiful character driven story. Beautiful artwork. Great metaphors. And really interesting narration.

Also while it is a marvel series, you really don't need to know anything about marvel which is nice.

Update: store had never run an rcq so I had to help a lot at the start. Thankfully they called a friend to come judge (which still meant I had to help, but much less). Opened a sick gw deck. Drafted a less sick gw deck and died in top 4.

First deck pictured below

There's a limited rcq 15 minutes away today. Not going to such a nearby event feels like a spew but I've also been doing atrocious in this format. I'm so conflicted

I saw three of these artists in concert this year so this list makes sense. Also every year when they list how many genres I listened to, I wonder, how is that even possible?!

Don't think I released any shorts last week, but don't worry. They're back!

(Reminder that each view, comment, like, share, and especially sub goes a long way)

It's Friday.

You're probably full of turkey and tapped out from Black Friday shopping.

How about a play point giveaway for @magiconline.bsky.social?!

Like, repost, and follow to get in on the action. And hey, for good measure: tell me what your favorite card of 2025 was!

Finished 9-6 at the RC which was not good for any prizing but was good for my mental health. Had a great time hanging out with friends, eating great food, and playing against generally very pleasant opponents.

See everyone at the next one!

Hey folks! I've still got these codes to give away! I will even go as low as a minimum $5 donation if you want one.

Let me know when you donate and I can send you the code for the Avatar.
I'm helping to raise money this year for Extra Life, with the help of MTGO. They've given me some codes to give away for some cool Avatars on MTGO! #MTGOCreator

The requirement to get one of these Avatars is a minimum $10 donation.

After what felt like infinite failures, I finally day 2d an RC after an abysmal 0-3 start. Feels good. Hopefully the first of many more.

If you're in the Philly area come check out this event. Sarge's events are always a good time and this will be no exception.

I know we’re all real tight on cash and times are rough, but while you’re in Philly in a couple weeks, consider bagging any takeout you know you won’t reheat.

It’s been extra hard on our homeless neighbours and November’s getting chilly. Half a cheesesteak isn’t nothing.

This is the short I was honestly most excited to record. I got none other than the Dark Confidant, Bob Maher.

If I were to make Magic content to help POC get into competitive magic. What would you like to see? Also on that note. What do you feel or see as barriers that keep you from playing comp mtg. I'm all ears.
