I just wanted to get the gang back together as the world burned down around us.

But through that, I reconnected with my future wife, my best friend, and so many others who touched me during my life.

Without them, I'd still be alone in Youngstown, smoking too much weed and simply existing.

During the pandemic, I started a personal discord for my friends. We'd gotten older, grown apart in lifestyle and literal distance. And I missed them.

We've been friends for god damn near twenty years now. She's seen me at my worst and my best, once affectionately describing me as "A pit bull for my friends".

@totallyarogue.bsky.social has been home, continuing treatment and is back to work. We never would have made it through this pay gap without all of you guys.

The hardest part when I lived in Seattle was the judgmental stares when I'd put Velveeta or something similar in my basket.
Don't get me wrong, I do NOT enjoy living in fairly red trump country. But it is nice to not feel looked down on by the cashier because you handed them hot pockets.

There's only so good a pope can be, given the dogma and doctrine of the gigantic organization he sits at the head of. And I was a little worried about Leo based on some of the politics I heard around the time he was chosen.

But this is directly in line with Francis, the best pope of my lifetime.

Leo questioned a world where the wealth of the elite grows
"exponentially" while many "millions of people die of hunger or survive in conditions unfit for human beings." He also criticized "ideologies that defend the absolute autonomy of the marketplace and financial speculation,"
with false promises "that a free-market economy will automatically solve the problem of poverty."

Leo described a "new tyranny," which shuns any kind of oversight and where the economy is structured "in such a way that sacrifices are demanded of the masses in order to serve the needs of the powerful." The poor, he wrote, are only allowed "drops that trickle down."

The pope openly challenged "prosperity theology" and called Christians to the practice of giving charity. "It will not solve the problem of world poverty, yet it must still be carried out, with intelligence, diligence and social responsibility," he wrote.

Popular movements that challenge "the empire of money," invite people to take on the cause to combat poverty alongside the poor, instead of on their behalf, and "make history," the pope said. It our duty, Leo said, to "make their voices heard, albeit in different ways, in order to point out and denounce such structural issues, even at the cost of appearing foolish or naïve."

From what I gathered in reddit, Siege studios has trademarked the term 'Wsrboot'. Which is essentially a communal yard sale for minis, mostly in the UK from what I gather.

They've issued takedowns to Element Games and several tiny, local ones. It's super super scummy.

The thing I most appreciate about @jamesgunn.bsky.social isn't his obvious filmmaking talent or incredible level of care given to subjects like toxic masculinity and how it hurts all of us.

Try a fish oil supplement. You can just squirt it on the food, so no need to pull your cat. It's a really good long term solution to help improve coat and skin issues.

I had such high hopes of having most of my kill team painted by my first game saturday

But man, just having one of those nights where nothing wants to work right. Can't focus on the details, thinning the paint properly is being finnicky.
