But why base it on Fedora? It’s deeply tied to Red Hat, which is an American company. Yes, Fedora’s community-driven, but Red Hat owns the brand, funds the infra, and most contributors are Red Hat employees. Doesn’t feel fully independent.

@humboldtuni.bsky.social built a search engine for media quotes. It scans news daily and is powered by HU’s own NLP model, reducing reliance on big tech.

Currently, it's only available in German, but an English version is also in the works!

Just discovered SAMURAI, an adaptation of Meta’s SAM 2 for visual object tracking. It uses motion-aware memory selection to predict object motion and refine masks. Especially interesting for crowded scenes. Looks like a big step forward!

I built a small experimental setup to record my robot's movements. This allows me to better assign the results of the recorded data to the individual movements afterwards.

Not the most professional way to do it, but sometimes an IKEA lamp, some 3D printing and a hair tie is good enough 😁
