I started teaching myself Russian a while back, because A) Ancestry DNA informed me I have a strong Russian background, and B) it might be interesting to have that skill as the current chapter of history advances.

I was diagnosed with ADHD back in March. I initially declined meds, but I changed my mind when I decided to finish my degree. Finally picked up my script yesterday and took the first dose this morning.
I feel like I finally have the collective millennial brain cell *and* the ability to use it. 😮

I work for a university. I applied to said university to finish my degree, after dropping out in 2014. Things must be slow in the admissions office, because I received a text from a person (not an automated system!) less than 24 hours later saying, “so I noticed we need your transcripts…”

If you spend time outdoors, please check yourself for ticks. A 45-minute hike yesterday ended with 8 total ticks on three of us—one of which was on skin instead of clothing.

The notion that single-payer healthcare would cause Americans longer wait times is insanity. I have to schedule appointments with my endocrinologist A YEAR in advance. I’m an established patient! Restructuring the system stands to do more good than harm right now. Republicans, kindly fuck off.

I should’ve found a good therapist the day we left Texas. I’ve had a massive shift in perspective lately that has finally culminated in some much-needed introspection, adjustments to personal practices and reinforcement of boundaries. It’s amazing how much damage self-loathing can do to the soul.
