The next election is going to be fascinating. I honestly believe it's going to come down to how many people shift to Reform or the Green Party.

I think, whatever direction people pick, they are just desperate for something to shift.

Even if it partly sounds scary and risky .

Are Christmas adverts for major retailers, in a small number of cases, the last, distant relatives of the period when adverts had a bit of spark and intelligence about them?

The Waitrose one is pretty old school and even made me laugh.

Hearing Cloe Zhao speak about Buffy is one of the best things in the world .

Who knows how the new series will turn out, and not only that, when it hits the new media environment, but it has to be one with every chance.

Enjoying Landman S2.

I think my YouTube brand is turning into anti-introvert misery porn..

..I am half joking.

Too many people tempting me with expedition cruises.

This is the problem when small communities (and I mean very small) form around your YouTube channel.

I mean, they're not wrong. But Christ they are expensive.

I have seen Wicked: For Good and I ordain it fantabulistic.

Is it as good as the first film? No, but then every person who likes the musical new this was probably never going to be the case and all you could want is - is it better than the second act of the musical?

The answer is yes. /1

The suggestion that solo journaling games aren't games but writing prompts is interesting..

..because I sort of view the ttrpg experience as a series of writing prompts.

Why are all these billionaire fuckwads fascinated with The Lord of the Rings?

One assumes, from the names they give things.

Time for a Garmin Facelift. The super condensed info screen I was using was getting a bit tired.

Still playing with what dials to show (and this is after a night of charging so some are zero).

My listening age is 40.

Apparently.

Well, now the cruise era is over + having done Norway (*3), Iceland and Alaska, I can settle back into the lite adventure stuff .

I think North Lake Garda and Dolomites has probably settled into a going to happen position.

Well, I thought Wicked: For Good showings might have gone on the back burner..

..well, not in home town world, it's on very often from 0900!!
December 7, 2025 at 6:43 AM
Hah, it begins, people not understanding what I spent my time doing on the cruise.

Reading, writing, eating, walking, engaging in serendipitous conversations.

Not sure why this is difficult.

Reminds of 'never ask what Introverts do on a weekend'

I am now interested in how Netflix will intake the HBO content. Will it just add it to Netflix or will it do a Disney+ and have multiple brands.

It's going to be interesting as it will obviously intersect with pricing as if you don't differentiate it you end up putting up the price for everyone.

You've got to love trains..I don't think I abnormally sized at 5'10 maybe 11" at a push and yet if I sit probably in the seat my shoulder blades are wrestling with the head wrest.

When is someone going to publicly tell Trump and his rag-tag bunch of friends, family and allies to fuck off?

I get the geo-politics angle and the theory he is temporary but Presidents set things in motion that sometimes stick and surely we are well past the 'move him to our thinking bollocks'.

Interesting item on the news - it was going on about how good the Netflix and WB deal is for the party buying and the party seeking so it is an all round win.

There are too many players in the streaming market so it's a good thing.

It was fascinating because of what it missed out /1

The long journey home begins. I managed to nab a seat in the earlier coach to London.

Not that it helps much as my train is still a set time later in the day.

Some hanging around will be in order. Unless I store my bag without the expensive stuff in.

Maybe.

The Wednesday body swap episode. Brilliant.

But then I love these concepts.

The FIFA Peace Prize? What the hell is that?
December 5, 2025 at 7:24 PM
Scans Tomb Raider game news (which you never know these days to whether it's total bollocks) and it might still be survival based and now it is a total open world .

I have yet to experience a franchise I liked that went open world that felt like an improvement.
December 5, 2025 at 6:46 PM
So Netflix will be the overlords of what now constitutes HBO streaming?

I mean, I want that to be a positive thing but my experience of such exercises is they ALWAYS lose sight of the true value of what they've purchased.
December 5, 2025 at 6:34 PM
Reading Superfans again. I may actually be in a better place to put it into action this time.

We shall see. I am intrigued if that is true or not if nothing else.
