Yeah, even my female shepherd on the second play through went with Liara because all the male characters seemed either to be cock wombles or just a bit lame.

There are also two sides to this argument when men complain about - such as how ridiculously popular the cosplay is of characters who are sexy.

Mass Effect. Overwatch.

So I take it as it comes. Enjoy it. Let the women argue it out.

As an example, I'd ask some people are you 'becoming more introverted (I don't think this happens as much as people think) or are you just becoming more isolated and afraid?

Some of the talk just sounds like the latter.

I think the main challenge the new Buffy show has is the original show is a period piece, in a good way, of a sort of media / Clueless sort of era.

So I am not sure how they are going to contemporise it.

It's going to be interesting.

The amount of videos on Facebook featuring animals that are very hard to tell as fake from the participating humans and animals themselves is legion..

..the only thing giving them away is the repetitive and ridiculous scenarios.

I think as you gain more experiences in life you either become more empathetic or a cold hearted bastard.

The former leads to more crying at films.

When young Brassed Off is funny and when older it's bloody heartbreaking - that sort of thing.

There are also no big dance sequences in the second act which doesn't help it either - as they are all more personal songs or grand inner thoughts.

But overall I enjoyed it a lot and can't wait to see them up close and together in the future /end

As for the additions at the end to ensure the bookending worked better and to give Glinda a resolution to who she was out of her childhood just like Elpheba?

Great stuff. /8

In truth, it's one film. Not really a sequel on its own. I will always insist making it one film would have never worked - the first act translates to a singular film so well you certainly have the challenge of a 1.5 film situation with to the musical /7

I think the second act works better as the film but also has some of the problems - lots of locations, it expanding outward, aligning with the Wizard of Oz, it being a tragedy rather than the more uplifting first act .

The loss of more consistent sets is definitely missed /6

The Girl in a Bubble song is a great addition as it gives Glinda the transition moment that is very much missing in the second act of the play.

Making the second film the Glinda transition more explicitly make perfect sense and works /5

I would also say the second act is also plussed by it being a film but in different ways.

It's less the sets and the shots and more the fact it tweaks things to more clearly make this Glinda's transition while the first act was Elpheba's /4

You see not only is the first act better in the musical the first act is an almost perfect construction for a film.

It translates well with obvious gains of having the camera to do different angles and shots and this is what happened the first act is plussed by being a film really /2

I loves me the romantic sub-plots.

75% of the time they come baked in.

And I agree, sometimes just as much as the hero isn't the same without his villain it can also be the romantic thread.

Even better,.sometimes they're the same thing!

Yeah, I assume they read something from the books that are a bit off.
