Fashion for magic practitioners. I had talks recently how wizard outfits in media mostly jump from traditional robe to a boring suit, so I doodled some self indulgent alternative that would incorporate my fav XIX century elements with some traditional wizard aesthethic and whimsy

Concept sketches for wizard outfits that mash up traditional wizard elements like big rimmed hats or big sleeves with XIX century waistcoats and cravats. All sprinkled with assymmetry and some bold patterns like stripes and celestial maps.

Aside from the topic of JKR's bigotry I had these talks recently that HP movies did one thing great (creatures) and one thing terribly - wizard clothes. Jason Isaacs had to ask for a cape and cane for his aristocratic character to not get put in a suit. I wanted some fun asymmetrical outfits.
