Angry sunday thoughts
A screenshot with text: Got hit with the "AI is here to stay" tired phrase again, it makes my blood boil so extremely much and I think I can finally put it to words why: it is not an observation on the market, it is always an excuse. People never say "it's here to stay so we have to heavily regulate it". It's always the phrase that's supposed to convince me resistance is futile and we should all use it. And it's so fucking wrong! Not only they cannot say in which capacity the tech is going to stay if it's unprofitable and harmful and so far everything we warned about proven true. It's also, the fact something latched onto society and stayed doesn't automatically mean it's fine! Violence is here to stay! Slavery was surely always "going to stay" and racism and bigotry are also going to stay. Does that mean we should adopt the views??? Fat fashion and plastics seem to be almost impossible to eradicate from our lives. Should we go and remind that to people using paper straws and not buying from shein every single time? Or maybe we should fucking learn from them and not use them. "AI is here to stay" is not a stoic wisdom of a moderate person. It's an condescending excuse, meant to break spirit and make you stop opposing.

Charlotte in frostpunk doesn't have much choice, so she mostly picks between no food, cold food or warm food, and she very much prefers the last one. I think fish or seal could be her favourite. After the larp story I think she's also very suspicious of canned rations

Hektor is a soldier in every AU and in postapo at that, so he generally eats whatever you put in front of him with an exception of carrots which he doesn't like.

Tristan is spoiled and would be very picky about the ways food is made and served
