I had cut ties with her previously due to her only caring about cis people's feelings over trans people, it was stupid of me to think she might actually have any helpful input.
If a trans person can't afford private care, they sure as fuck can't afford legal aid against a GIC.

Boba progress is slow.
He's eating, but only tiny amounts at a time. Which is a vast improvement on eating nothing, but nowhere near as much food as his body needs.
I'll be updating the vet today, hoping the morning steroids kick in for more appetite this afternoon.

A friend was referred to a GIC in 2023, and now the GIC has turned around and claimed that they're not in their system (their GP record confirms a referral was sent)
Any advice on how to get the GIC to honour the referral instead of forcing an even longer wait?

Boba had a little more wet food (he refuses now if it's mushed up and also doesn't want Lick-E-Lix, it must be that PURE SHIT), and he even tried to eat some Dreamies! All he really did was crunch two up lmao but it's a massive improvement

It was an honour to attend the RNIB's 'Out of Sight: vision rehabilitation' drop-in.
I heard about the difference that timely access to local authority support - known as vision rehabilitation, can make, and learnt more about this vital but often overlooked part of social care.

It was only a very small amount, but Boba just ate a little bit of wet food!!! No gagging when he smelled it, most he's eaten in over three days

So I've watered it down and will offer it every hour or so.

Glad to see these pills are a bit smaller. Boba has done incredibly well with me giving him the antibiotics but it's a bit of an ordeal for him every evening.

Trying really hard not to get upset over how weak and sad Boba is. I can't imagine how awful it must feel to not eat for so long, and on top of the infection.
But steroids tomorrow and I get oral syringes so hopefully I can get a little food in him, and then hopefully...

He's prescribed some steroids that Boba can take to see if those will help, which I can go and pick up from the vet tomorrow morning

It's been four hours and the vet hasn't replied.
If they can't/don't help, I'll have to consider syringe feeding, which I'd really rather not do without veterinary permission, especially as it can cause food aversion
