got told not to use genAI in feedback for an assignment that i spent a great amount of effort and time on, referencing course-approved materials and the textbook only. really great for my horrible imposter syndrome to work hard to do well only to be told that i have no integrity or work ethic

i get the point they’re trying to make and agree wholeheartedly re: the use of ai but i do feel like half of the Scholars of Tumblr agreeing with this post are missing the point and think it’s fundamentally immoral to cut corners in Professor Sadist’s Quantum Dick-Flattening that gets curved to a C-

i think we as a society need to stop making canned foods with those fucking key mechanisms that you use to roll the can open because our overlords have decided that everything has to be enshittified to the point that such a method results in the entire mechanism just flimsily snapping off

much can be said about the increasing pressures on the individual to monetize their time and that creating things to make money does not always reflect some form of deep moral turpitude, but if you’re charging $15/month for a calendar app or some shit i do kind of think you’re of the devil
