All the smut creators I've seen, both visual and written, want proper tools to describe what their works contain so that _anyone_ can make an informed decision on whether they want to interact with that work. They want to give people the tools to choose to interact with them.

This is already true in the offline world. People already agree that it's up to a parent or guardian to accompany their kid places until they're old enough to go on their own. It's already seen as a part of parenthood that you supervise your children, so why is online any different?

I fundamentally _disagree_ that the responsibility for that lays with the entire internet, and not with parents.

I see this a lot in online discourse about adult material or material dealing with dark topics. "But you wouldn't want a kid to read that, would you?" "What if a teenager sees the porn you drew?" "You want to help keep kids safe online, right?"

I think this is a fundamental misunderstanding in 1/??
