Actually office is open Monday but I'm off, I have an all day dog event Sunday and working the table so need a day to recover. Considering taking Wolfie along but he's a handful.

Moved his weekend swim to Monday afternoon either way.

The event is a cancer walk for canines and always a good time.

Thanks, it is definitely better with time. Now, if only I could find gypsies to sell my dad to, my stress would be much lower. She never intended me to handle his finances (ok, BS) this long. I don't want to adult either, but not exactly a choice. Luckily the Wolflet keeps me on straight and narrow.

Thank you, just one of those things. I just think how much she'd love Crouton and the rest of the herd. She was also good at dirty looks, she'd have adored Nickel 😊

Thank you so much. One of the last things she said to me was "I thought we'd have more time" so I remember that every day and make it matter.

She also sends crows to yell at me. All the time. In case I forget all the other lessons she taught me about being a good person without expecting credit 😇

My dad is more fun for everyone else, I manage him and his finances. There's a lot of yelling. (I'm no fun, lol)

Ginger is the bestest girl. I got her for them when they had a sudden loss of a Saint Bernard and shoving a puppy into my mom's arms was the best option

He can be magnanimous and 25/75 split is acceptable. The bagel and turkey "scraps" were insufficient. We got some groceries and the lack of Wolfie food was shocking. Salads and frozen fruit are not his idea of provisions.

Stargazers, a favorite! Getting thin but still eating, gets lots of Costco chicken and carbs. It's bone cancer and not treatable so she wears a brace on the back leg that has been impacted most but you know dogs are adaptable. Not a lot of pain and her quality of life is good so every day a blessing

My dad is a complete rapscallion but Ginger has certainly helped keep him out of trouble since we lost mom. He turned 69 over the weekend and he is so thrilled he can finally say that with a wink and a smirk.

Yeah, my dad has been a therapy dog chauffeur since my mom was in the hospital in 2019 before she died, then he continued taking Ginger on weekly visits to a variety of places like the VA and rehab centers. She retired recently after an aggressive cancer diagnosis. The best girl.

He would absolutely let you, he loves all ladies and will carefully stand on back legs and give gentle kisses without jumping up. He especially enjoys doing so in daycare lot, making sure I saw him cheat

I get attitude and dirty looks. One of his trainers thinks he would be great at therapy work.😂
