Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the first player to win the Premier League Player of the Month award while playing for a newly promoted club since Teemu Pukki in August 2019, for Daniel Farke's Norwich City. (Opta)

My take on Khan/Farage/London. My mother in law had begun to believe rhetoric and didn't feel safe to go into London for several years despite living a 20 minutes away. We took her in between Christmas and NY - saw the lights in Oxford St - it was packed but completely joyful - and most of all safe.
The idea that London has become less safe in recent years is quite strange - just look at how once "dangerous" areas have been transformed in recent years. Gentrification comes with its own issues but streets are packed with visitors and city far more welcoming than when I moved here a decade ago.

As it stands, Daniel Farke is the 7th longest serving manager in the Premier League. Funny old game, eh? #lufc

Ok that’s it I’m absolutely in love with Calvert-Lewin 😍

I used to follow every nuance of politics, then it started dragging me down so badly I just let it wash over me and ignored it. As a mother of three, one who will be starting university in September, all being well, for once, I am delighted with an item of news today. Credit where it's due.

Absolutely buzzing (lol) with that result and what about Calvert-Lewis eh?! Second best scoring run of his career!

O world, thy slippery turns!
DF on DCL for England: "You already know how much I trust him. Already 11 caps for England. Good goal record. Important he stays fit and in good rhythm. Takes care of itself, this question. Depends how you deliver. Important for a player, not a few good weeks, but prove it over months." #lufc

Good answer!
The interviewer asks @zackpolanski.bsky.social if he's worried about splitting the left vote & whether the best way to beat the right is to vote Labour.

Zack: "The idea that the Labour party are on the left is completely incoherent"

This is very sad. I have been in love with the antihero she created for about 30 years. But amazing that the last thing she will be associated with is the remarkable Disney+ adaptation of her book Rivals - which she appeared in. Talk about going out on a high. Incredible woman, incredible life. RIP.
