Worth pointing out that DOGE killed 18F, which had served as partner to lawmakers, judicial branch staff & advocates in the push to improve access to federal court filings & (finally) make PACER free.
On DOGE’s watch, federal spending did not go down at all. It went up. But is still led to cuts that closed offices, canceled programs and deprived people of food, medicine and other aid.

For the 1st appearance of a (possible) farewell tour, Justice Alito, fond of his roots, sits down with an Italian newspaper www.corriere.it/esteri/25_di....

Though he doesn't use the exact phrase, he refers to same-sex marriage & right to contraception as reliance interests, which appears to be new

The judiciary's motion to dismiss America First Legal's FOIA case against the Judicial Conf. is GRANTED.

Our take: yes, parts of the judiciary should absolutely be subject to FOIA.

But this suit isn't the way to do it & Judge McFadden thankfully agreed: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Judicial Nominee Tells Republican Senator: “I Believe Every Word of the Bible”
It was a jaw-dropping exchange. And: Every nominee refused to say who won the 2020 election or comment on January 6.

ICYMI — here’s the complaint we filed yesterday against Judge Emile Bove for attending a Trump rally: fixthecourt.com/wp-content/u....

“Judges should refrain from political activity” is literally in the code of conduct, & his attendance violated that proscription, so there should be consequences.

But months later, a government commission comes along & argues that parts of the opinion *should be sealed*.

Say what now?

It's an interesting case study on court transparency: fixthecourt.com/2025/11/a-ju....
