I was dealing with the flu from New Year's to the middle of January. Lost almost a whole week of work. Hadn't been anywhere near that sick since I had COVID (and this lingered longer).

Gay Days has been "paused" this year. Was supposed to be the 35th anniversary. Organizers are (lightly) blaming sponsors pulling out.
I'm really confused as to how something that started as an unofficial grassroots event is so dependent on corporate sponsors that it can't go on in some form.
