Absolutely love it when a food item that I've gotten for years at a place I have gone to for years suddenly gives me a roiling stomach. Nauzene and Pepto have been no help. I really hope this isn't food poisoning. (It feels very much like the last time I did get food poisoning.)

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

Also watch out with older CrockPot recipes: Newer slow cookers (like post-2015ish) run a lot hotter for food safety reasons. So “low” is a lot warmer now than it was in the 80s when your mom devised that recipe.
Cookbooks are cool! But be careful about older ones, especially with recipes calling for a box/package/can/container of something (rather than ounces or grams) because many companies have changed their formulas and package sizes in the last few years.
