Sedum Sieboldii on the tag but today I learned it’s also called “October Daphne”. The geometry is really cool - it’s more blue green than the golden late afternoon sun portrays. Me too! I would LOVE a sunroom. No place for it in this house though - I already turned the only space into a catio and it’s screened, not glassed in. I keep everything in the basement because the cats chomp plants.

Thanks! I already have 8 quarts of Puttanesca, 8 quarts of basic marinara canned in the pantry and still have about 10 gallons of frozen romas to can 😳 Ready for a nap.

By end of yesterday, the indoor garden space was set up again and all my annual cuttings were in. I treated the soil on the pots I overwinter indoors and all are tucked in for the winter. Follow me to see how it evolves and I stay sane in the 🥶 months!

Don’t be afraid to fry this up on a high heat at the end - it sears the flavors. I learned to cook from an Indian man who wasn’t allowed to cook in his native home but LOVED to cook when he had his freedom in the US. This is one of my favorite Indian dishes - oh and “bhindi” means okra. Enjoy!

Yesterday I took my huge fuchsia to the friend whose plant I clipped in May. It has exploded into blooms but it’s too chilly outside. It’s in her sun room for the winter, and I have a few more cuttings to root. I’ve heard you can bonsai them - has anyone tried? #gardener #gardening #flowers #flower

Yes, that is how I make my pesto dairy free. Same ingredients except I haven’t used lemon zest. I grow Tuscan basil - that’s my favorite because of the anise smell ☺️

I rechecked the tag after I put the fire out and apparently they market Hungarian Wax Peppers as “Hot Banana Peppers” and I didn’t see the hot part. I’ll be more vigilant. I’m roasting them and freezing for a friend who loves heat.
