Last time there was a vacancy at RNZ for a presenter (again, Morning Report), veteran, experienced, talented RNZ journalist Mani Dunlop was overlooked in favour of Ingrid Hipkiss.

From September 2012. John Key was PM and they had given away billions in tax cuts two years earlier,and sacked thousands of civil servants.

Then spent $1 billion on rehiring them as consultants.

But THIS poll is interesting. Whilst totally unscientific,note that those "Very/Somewhat Confident" of "better times ahead" = 29%.

Thats within .6 percentage points of yesterdays Curia Poll results for National.

It seems National/Act supporters are still "confident".

Interesting article. The only thing the journos missed out were the tax cuts which added to Willis' massive borrowing blow-out.

$18 billion over 4 years means she had to borrow to pay for tax cuts, etc.
