Yup.

Last time there was a vacancy at RNZ for a presenter (again, Morning Report), veteran, experienced, talented RNZ journalist Mani Dunlop was overlooked in favour of Ingrid Hipkiss.

Folks can draw their own conclusions.

My bet for Corin Dann's replacement: anyone as long as they are white

Wow... zero self-awareness. The guy is living in his own head.

If Luxon and Willis thinks this will help them in the polls, theyve been smoking some seriously good dak.

29.6% was bad? Wait'll the next numbers come out. Asset sales is never a good look.

The level of education of RW bigots leaves much to be desired.

I wonder what the mother of that bigot thinks of their child, now...

Nailed it, Sophie.👍
fmacskasy.bsky.social
Indeed. Its like this govt is always going for the worst possible option.
fmacskasy.bsky.social
They win votes out of it, so I guess it's true; you can fool some of the people all of the time...
fmacskasy.bsky.social
Yeah... and we're still waiting for that magical trickle down to occur.

So far, the trickling is mor like a torrent upwards. Ably assisted by the likes of Nikki Noboats Wllis, et al.
fmacskasy.bsky.social
Yeah, I was being overly optimistic...
fmacskasy.bsky.social
Yeah, you'd think, right?!

It was one of this inept govt's biggest expenditures and it doesn't rate scrutiny.

No wonder the Nats get away with the BS rep of being "prudent fiscal manager" - the media overlook critical facts/events.
fmacskasy.bsky.social
So unbelievable. Over a decade later, and I can still remember that headline!!

And the fools in the National Party haven't learned a single thing.

These are the muppets who are supposedly "prudent fiscal managers"...🤪

From September 2012. John Key was PM and they had given away billions in tax cuts two years earlier, and sacked thousands of civil servants.

Then spent $1 billion on rehiring them as consultants.

Sound familiar?
www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/govt-dept...
Almost $1bn spent on contractors
Government departments which have spent millions in laying off staff are responsible for nearly $1 billion in consultants' fees and $114.1 million in redundancies.

You bet.

I wonder how he'd feel if he read my comments?

None to happy, i'm guessing.

SO HE SHOULDN'T DO IT TO OTHERS.

But THIS poll is interesting. Whilst totally unscientific, note that those "Very/Somewhat Confident" of "better times ahead" = 29%.

Thats within .6 percentage points of yesterdays Curia Poll results for National.

It seems National/Act supporters are still "confident".

Interesting article. The only thing the journos missed out were the tax cuts which added to Willis' massive borrowing blow-out.

$18 billion over 4 years means she had to borrow to pay for tax cuts, etc.
