Ronan is Chinese& Black, the island he lives on is heavily based on Hong Kong. His husband is German. There is /nothing/ to do with anything close to swana/mena in his story or aesthetics. He wears tassels because it’s a big part of our aesthetic. They represent fortune and protection.
