it's 5am and i just got really mad thinking about when i was 8 or 9 my dad took my pokemon cards to work to use as a teaching aid and some middle schooler stole them. i hope wherever that kid is they are wracked with guilt to this day

i struggle with a brain that wants to stiffly copy whatever reference i'm using and one thing i've found helpful:
1. draw big blocky shapes over the reference
2. turn off ref and redraw big blocky shapes
3. draw in figure with big blocky shapes overlaid
