Gettin REAL tired of people saying Lain "predicted the future", as if Japan wasn't Cell Phone & internet central in 1998. Ok it KIND of did (kind of), but mostly they were just making observations based on what was already going on online at the time. It's not THAT prophetic.

If you liked an anime character in the 90's, you'd often dedicate a site to them. We called these "shrines". On rare occasions, a character was so great, a memorial was erected instead. A digital tombstone to honor their memory. I still think about Wizardmon even today.
