I've complained about this fucking dude so much, but i just came across a solo lancer guide that doesn't discuss how how to perform the combat solo... even though it promises it does on the store page.
I fucking hate solo modes that through a sliver of mythic towards you and tell you to make it up

Ive always been very proud of my general love for ttrpgs - give me the dense shit or rules lite shit, Old school, NSR, PBTA, FITD, Map Making games, for the queen-esque, and any genre, whatever ill eat it the fuck up.

TTRPGs are 10000% easier if you're the kind of person that can be immersed into a genre/tone/setting/character by just imagining shit in your mind *before* you add the game. The game is there to also to be surprised or add a level of physicality - Thats where a lot of my outlook on rpgs stem from.

i cant stand people who are pessimistic about "gimmicks" in rpgs; things like Jenga towers or tarot cards are great. Its also more surprising when people see like playing cards as a "gimmick" hell i saw someone complain about having to shuffled a deck in an rpg.. Just dont play games at that point

Im actually pissed off at how fuckibg ugly that knight of the seven kingdoms show looks. i loved the books and the comics so much as a child. The worst part is the fear, as a fantasy writer, of people imagining fantasy novels in this way. Its depressing as shit.

The issue with people attempting to do a disco elysium style game is that writing is an extremely under-appreciated skill, especially in video games.

I appreciate what Unsighted is going for, and i just hate the two choices were to engage in the speedrunning stuff or turn it but butcher the narrative. a citizen sleeper clock style that counts days or something would make a happy medium, as am optional mode. I just dont like speedrunning.

What happened to Bingo? When my parents were in their late twenties/early 30s they would go to "gala" bingo as a date, like around 2010ish time, and now... ive never heard of anyone doing that now nor know of any place that does that.

I do love in OSR games and Video Game dungeon crawlers alike where your character is the odd bits and bobs that youve amassed over time. Oh yeh i started as a mage but this choas sword of the lake goddess has been very handy and i dumped a bunch of points into strength to use it well.

A lot of people try to translate Vermis to an OSR (and even a dnd) context, but its dreamlike manner, and the ease of combat with wounds being both debilitating and all encompassing, and fixated too on the mental states of individuals, has little bearing on those style of plays.
