I am rather fond of the drive from Fairbanks to Anchorage.

Graymountain Rest! A new zine, written by me, that I’m bringing to the Alaska RPG Con in Wasilla this weekend!

A thieving bat monster’s lair in a mysterious complex atop a mountain.

Hand-numbered edition of 100!

You know what was weird last week? I didn’t see anyone fired for quoting words actually spoken by Jane Goodall.

They are delightful little critters.

I also highly recommend looking into very old Snotling miniatures.

Tiny, rude, mischievous, and wonderful.

Annnd, a closer look at the new Forge of Ice sunken treasure hoard sculpted by Dave Cauley and painted by Influxsin:

Is this another rabbit hole I’m going to fall into?

Because I think this might be another rabbit hole I’m going to fall into.

It’s got that 1960’s Gold Key / Hanna Barbera vibe for sure.

The consensus seems to be that it’s this one, although to me it looks far more like Chuck Jones than Doctor Seuss.

I couldn’t find anything from Huargo that fit the bill.

The Dragon Turtle’s sunken treasure! Painted by Influxsin, sculpted by Dave Cauley. Available from me here in the US, and from @fenrisgames.com everywhere else!

I’m about ten minutes into digging thru posts in a couple of D&D / OSR art pages to find the post.

If memory serves it was for a Zine (maybe Knock?).

I suppose I could just message him and ask.

I hope I’m remembering it correctly and it’s not some sort of Mandela effect.

Didn’t Huargo Illustrator do something like that already?

Maybe I’m misremembering.

I will also opine that while I think that most of the problems with modern policing don’t have easy solutions, I do think that just about everybody to the left of the Nazis would benefit from going through that training.

It’s interesting, occasionally fun, and incredibly useful info to have.

My good buddy Clarke just posted pics of his flock of Terror Birds with a Forge of Ice lion for scale - so of course I had to reshare it here.

When I went through a Police Academy about a decade ago, the instructors showed us this video.

Cops know to never talk to cops without a lawyer, too. Most of their unions have ironclad rules requiring it.

It’s real risky having heroes.

Even the best of us are still human, full of flaws & failings.

And the sorts of big personalities that make big waves in the world tend to make big mistakes, too.

But Jane Goodall never let me down.

What an incredible life and legacy she leaves behind.

“It actually doesn’t take much to be considered a difficult woman. That’s why there are so many of us.”
― Jane Goodall

💙 RIP to a real one. My childhood hero

Really nicely detailed sculpts by Dave Cauley - they paint up so well.

Long, long ago, when I was in the Air Force, we used to call such things “BCG’s”: Birth Control Glasses, because ain’t nobody gonna get laid wearing them.

That said, they allegedly had some level of safety rating, so that’s something, I suppose. I was a bit skeptical on that point, though.

I’m having a blast creating new fantasy creatures with Talia Beckett.

Meet the Great Snowy Prowl.

Part snowy owl, part snow leopard; probably irritable and hungry.

Do NOT attempt to pet one, even though yes we know it looks very soft and fuzzy.
