Holy mackerel! I didn't think the pilot light would stop clicking. My kettle boiled over and drowned the stove lighter. 2.5 hours and it finally dried out. I've never valued silence so much.

Trump is all about optics. Was his 90 minute address meant to highlight division? Besides the self-confirming conclusions each side will have about the other (the Democrats’ opinions being negligible because of Republican power in all branches), was this laying groundwork for civil war?
