bring her back was so incredibly uncomfortable and weird. aster's works are good, just not my personal taste of what horror should be like, I think, though I will probably keep watching his movies.

late to the party, but we finally watched Hereditary! after a very strong start of the horror of grief, i thought it got very gauche with lots of overdone tropes. sad really, because it was beautifully filmed and acted.
