Was there another Verizon outage? My MX mobile phone uses them for roaming and I lost all internet access for like 45 minutes down here in SoCal.

You know, trying to launch a website that has a very hyperfocused subject, with an associated Patreon, feels very much in bad taste considering how many awesome staff and freelance writers have gotten laid off in the past few days alone. It makes me want to give this plan up altogether.

So there seems to have been an undocumented change in the Bluesky app: Feeds now show reskeets, just like your follow tab.
I noticed that stuff started showing up as "Reposted by"; in the past I'd have to go to a person's profile to see them.
It's good... but now I'm being flooded with USA photos.

These are the original Spider-Man sprite frames for SNES 'Spider-Man and the X-Men in Arcade's Revenge'. Recovered from my old development disks. Back then, in 1992, all of these frames were hand-drawn, pixel by pixel. No 3D modelling software was available to simplify this work or animate Spidey.

It is 2025. I look at Street Fighter 6 videos, watch someone lose in 10 seconds because of an unbreakable combo, and decide never to buy the game.

This is one of the most fundamental underlying problems of perspective with many, if not most people who play fighting games. “People just want to be good at something automatically” is not correct. It’s factually inaccurate. People don’t expect to be “good.” They just don’t like being vaporized.
