Excellent observation.

Keeping people "in their places" typically only benefits the ones in control, but it's SO beneficial to them that they'll fight tooth and nail to keep it, telling lies and even killing to keep the people down.

The US rejected the notion of taxation without representation, yet Americans are still taxed during shut-downs.

Americans, if your reps won't go to work, then you don't go to work.

I’m an Alberta transplant myself as I spent 20 years there. I’ve been really happy the last 40 years in the BC interior (Cariboo). Vancouver’s too rich for my retired budget but it is a beautiful city.

What’s lost in all the discussions is the fact there are zero independent Chinese companies. TikTok users need to be aware the Chinese government is inside each & every account which begs the question: which American is this good for???
