Someone rebuked me for saying out loud what everyone knows:

WE NEED A PEACEFUL NONVIOLENT REVOLUTION IN GOVERNANCE, SOCIETY, AND ECONOMICS.

It's not only me saying that. Here's what the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Program wrote in October 2022:

A brilliant essay by @anandwrites.bsky.social about the insular elite he calls "the Epstein class": "On matters small and big, from the price of eggs to whether the sexual abuse of children matters, what they sense is a sneering indifference. And a knack for looking away."

What I see in this world is that we could still target 1.5⁰ but politics. We clearly, collectively, do politics poorly, and have for decades.

Why do COPs fail? Well, one of the most important, COP 15, at Copenhagen in 2009, where the trajectory of the IPCC process was to be set for decades, was undermined by the USA spying on delegates.

And that was under the most law abiding president in the last 25 years.

If russia attacked your country/killed your people, how much of your land would you be okay with letting them keep? Ukraine should get ALL their children and land back and Russia should have to pay to rebuild Ukraine. AND putin should have to face trial for war crimes. Stand up. Speak up.

A simple acid test for the difference between war and genocide is that in a genocide the children are murdered. Around 40% of Palestinians killed by Israel so far have been children. Israel in its current form is a genocidal state that must not be allowed to continue.

Gates and Blair are dangerously wrong and should be ignored on climate.
Bill Gates, Tony Blair, CFR are rethinking climate change in the Trump era: more "realistically." Can we dismiss this trend or do we need to understand what it means global climate politics? 🧵

I want to know from anyone with dealings with these people if the face MBS makes when Trump says "He didn't know anything about it." has any particular cultural significance in the Middle East (1m18s mark). To me it is the face of a guilty man scoffing at his own ability to lie to Dictator Don.
Trump defends Mohammed bin Salman over the 2018 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi:

"A lot of people didn't like that gentleman... Things happen... He knew nothing about it."

A US intelligence report concluded that bin Salman personally "approved an operation" to "kill or capture" Khashoggi.

I see posts like this and yes it's awful - and did you work out yet they *want you flying blind* and there are reasons, even if you didn't get informed. And maybe that's something to consider.
I attended a talk by a scientist at a Chinese University and realized that all the background climate data that she used came from the US (CO₂ Keeling Curve, global temperature time series, etc.). Although China funds a lot of research, the destruction of US science will affect science globally.

Many many thanks to everyone who has donated and/or reposted - I really appreciate your help.

The colonoscopy is next Tuesday, so if you could see your way clear to reposting/donating, I would be extremely grateful.
The reason I have to do this privately is that the need is urgent, and appointments in the state Health Service are stretching into 2027/2028.

Thank you very much to all those who have reposted and donated so far. I really do appreciate it.
I'm sorry to do this yet again, but I really need help.

I require an urgent colonoscopy, which has to be done privately. That costs money, which I don't have.

If you could possibly see your way clear to reposting or donating, I would be most grateful.
