To add to this: we're past the trans-coming-out portion of the story, so our trans lady lead can flourish in other bloody, terrible ways, like the chaotic maniac she truly is.
The (twisty+angsty+mystery) plot and setting to the 2nd Burke story, Guard Dogs, remains my favorite.
One of the hallmarks of UF is a true connection to the city and I feel like I give the reader a tour of the Columbus area w/ plenty of Easter eggs for central Ohio folks, between all the drama.

I would like the world to know that I am so committed to letting the dice tell the story that I played a one shot where I rolled for my character and accepted being a spider in a list where I could have been a crow or cat or owl or fox or literally anything better.
