GDT certainly knows how to tell a heavy story. And he always tells them well.

Have a good night, everyone! #FrightClub

For all that they only had a short time together, Carlos loved Casares like a father. 😭

I suppose they all did. He was a lovely man. I hope they can find someone else as kind, if probably not as learned.

Thanks for the ghost revenge and fetus rum #FrightClub!

The kids, armed to the teeth: Oh REALLY

Del Toro later cameoed our two main child leads in Pan’s Labyrinth as dead soldiers

These kids suck at orphaning.
How it's supposed to be done.

Oh wow the kids are actually doing an extremely competent job cleaning debris out of Owl's wounds

I guess it's a skill you might have to learn young in wartime

Carving this on to my tits.
Del Toro says that many of us love horror because we want to understand “the other” rather than hate what is different. #FrightClub.

The poem Dr. Casares recites is called "Be near me" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. It is also included in Hellboy II: The Golden Army. #FrightClub #TheDevilsBackbone

The almost total silence, because nobody can hear anything after that blast

Ambient sound gradually fades back in...

Beautifully done

Long hallways can naturally feel eerie. I remember when I stayed in Vegas, my hotel had really long hallways and the patterns on the carpet made it look infinitely longer. It was rather freaky. #FrightClub

GDT’s love of Charles Dickens is readily apparent in all his work - even his Frankenstein focuses far more on economics than the novel.

This freely takes elements from Oliver Twist and Mystery of Edwin Drood.

I’d still like to see his version of the Christmas Carol ghosts someday.
