I was too busy cooking to take pics buuuuuut - I could not be happier with our Thanksgiving. Used an oven roasted potatoe recipe from a fav insta follow, went over VERY well. My made from scratch green bean and sauteed mushroom in bechemel casserole was everyone's favorite. :)

Crappy thought - the tech oligarchs' incredible ability to sidestep regulation and to flatter dRumpf *might* actually be the primary things preventing horrific enabling legislation from being codified.

Reminder: that thing you *hate* about yourself is a combination of unchangeable parts of yourself you must learn to appreciate, and things you know how to change but have not yet prioritized (so they're even MORE annoying, ugh).

The bit about "a democracy can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury" doesn't specifically account for electing people to do it who instead act only to benefit themselves.

Not proud of it, but I feel like I already got thru the door being closed by the Olds destroying the environment since I'll prolly be dead, but with the whole defund woke research thing, all I can think is that we will never regain the ground we will lose in the next 3 years.

i'm kinda hopeful that when historians look back, they will see that the excesses of this administration became the triggers for creating a progressive tax system, building a stronger administrative state, and development of the long-overdue universal healthcare plan
