Hex Maniac from Pokemon but she has swirly glasses and she's outside a spirit halloween for some reason. why is she there? whatr the fuyck? i didnt know spirit halloween existed inm the pokemon world. like i didnt even know pokemon HAD the concept of halloween but like you think of stuff like pumpkaboo and gourgeist who have jack-o-lantern designs on their bodies and you have to think they probably have something similar if not directly parallel to our own concept of halloween. also does anyone else fucking HATE how pumpkaboo and gourgeist and only those two come in like, a ton of sizes. made it a bitch to complete my living dex since they all get counted as separate forms depending on the game so i was inclined to get all of them. gen 6 was weird bro like why did they give us the ability to give our furfrou a custom design and then never again like what was up with that. like i love gen 6 dont get me wrong, it was my second gen that i was at the launch for. it just had some weird decisions. i also wish they got to finish the scrapped rhyhorn racing minigame it's a shame we never got that in the end

during that binge, the characters feel the need to narrate and reiterate everything that happens on-screen.

There's still good aspects, namely with Ras, Arin, & Jay, but the Fraudulent Five are absolutely pathetic, considering the writers spent basically all of Season 2 hyping them up.

oh god i gotta pull out the whiteboard okok so the original 3DS version of GV1 and the steam port use the 8-4 script by default, which is the one without mid-stage dialogue. to my knowledge every console version uses the updated script by default, but i have NO idea about 3DS striker pack

just played the demo and it's fucking bleak man

there's *glimpses* of interesting design at the very end of the demo but overall this honestly just feels like an extremely dumbed down version of kirin's gameplay with gooner writing and character designs

we are never getting that gunvolt magic back

at any rate, i'm glad i'm making these writing mistakes *now* when i'm writing harmless fanfiction, rather than squandering my debut original work. there's something to be said about not being afraid to fail when chasing your dreams, but making sure you actually have the experience is important, too

there's also the point raised in the thread i quoted about GV1's angle on idol culture, which kinda contradicts my intent for Joule and Mytyl to become an idol duo by the end...

...but at the same time, I can't say any of these characters *wouldn't* be happy & fulfilled in these situations, either?

and what is there actually has potential to be interpreted REALLY badly, such as GV being happier after losing his powers essentially trans-
