Problem seemingly solved. I needed BOTH a common ground from the Pico 2W to the minus (-) in at the display powering barrel jack AND I eliminated interference by replacing 8" pin-socket wires from pico to display with 3" pin-pin wires that then went to the HUB75 ribbon cable.

CircuitPython, MicroPython & raspberry pi pico friends. Some of my students are using HUB75 displays with pico 2Ws and are getting results like this. They are powered by a 5v10a power supply. The pico is separately powered via USB. Suggestions?

Every time I hear a story like Thiel “lecturing” about end times or Technorati doomsday bunkers I’m creepily reminded of the genocidal techster that destroys humanity in Margret Atwood’s MaddAddam books. Too much of sci-fi is being actualized. The genetics stuff scares me way more than AI.

The left side of the church steeple in Rockport, MA still has a cannonball hole fired from a British ship during the War of 1812. In New England we are the Cradle of Liberty and adamantly #NoKings With Liberty & Justice for All 🗽

White church steeple. Click on bottom. Supports lead up to a dome with weather vane on top. Left support has a clearly visible cannonball hole through the center of the beam. But it continues to stand, defiantly, as a symbol of American independence.

There is a guy on the highway in one of those new low-slung Nissan sports cars, but it’s got a super loud and annoying race car sound even at low speed and idle. It really is horrible. I don’t know how something like this gets made, or what kind of horrible human thinks this is ok. It’s awful.
