This site has a HEAVY skew towards EU releases (& Box Art)

Yet they use terms like (Sega) Genesis & show the Mega Drive version of Bloodlines & then use the EU naming

I also see they added non-canon titles back into the mix (Legends & Dracula XX aka Vampire's Kiss)

It looks more colorful than I saw yesterday (which was really dull & bland)

So my 1st impression isn't as tempered by 'that's it?'

I'll need to read some additional impressions, also disappointed that Sony couldn't do a disc version

Without someone like Iga shepherding the franchise, I'm apprehensive

I know he was stuck on certain ideas (& due to Konami being disappointed by the 3D console versions, which kept them STUCK on handheld) since he wasn't able to crack the code for a good 3D CV

They wouldn't greenlight an HD 2D CV

Coulda worked on their timing a bit better

It looks like they managed to shoehorn a Belmont in between Trevor and Christopher

I know a lot of the comments said Sonia, but it's not her

The timeline is nice for canon, but a curse for the series to keep w/it

I'd like to see that 1950's Castlevania game

That didn't take long to happen.

I wonder if this is one of quickest turnarounds for release & delisting due to IP

"Released in November 2023"

Seems like it's been shorter than that to be honest.

Seems to be the way with many US or JPN adaptations (or even ones released exclusively in JPN/EU)

Super Back to the Future
Ghost Busters II

As prime examples of games NOT released in the US that are better overseas
Did you know there are two versions of Casper for the SNES?
There's the English version, which is a BAD A Boy and His Blob clone, while the Japanese version is a much more interesting isometric puzzle-adventure game.

Got my AYN Thor setup with output to the big screen & using my old Stadia controller w/bluetooth

I bought the Base 8+128GB model (with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in it)

Some thoughts:
As I said a few weeks ago in my initial impressions, it is really nice but has some design issues (power button place

Since this seems to be a 'hot button' issue & came up today while scrolling

My question is, are we NOT differentiating between CGI & AI anymore?

Does the tool even matter?

Real actors were used then de-aged using computers

This has been done in movies for over 20

Wario didn't mention it, but more than likely DLC is a code with the disc installer (not all of the game is on disc) for the base game, you have to D/L most of it

So TPC has to cater to little kids & crabby adults who grew up playing their games...got it

They want to keep the loyal fanbase buying, but keep the family friendly image as well, check

Seems silly to me but I know better with online fan communities these days ruining all of the fun w/these things

I've said this in the past, 3rd parties can't afford console exclusives, they won't make enough, unless the BIG 3 pay for some of the development cost

It doesn't make sense unless you have a large install base, even From Softs NSW2 game, unless Nintendo is paying for some of it, it'll go multiplat
February 9, 2026 at 5:51 PM
Man, you read about the Nintendo directs and it's all fun & lollipops

This Sony direct you'd think they came over and personally kicked people's pets

I don't worry about what's coming next & it'll be a happy surprise when it does

I have PLENTY of stuff to keep me busy until then.

This one dropped like a stone in price, but the upside is that now many more people can afford to play these two awesome games a lot more affordably than a $250 PS1 game

(I know the PS1 digital copy is on PS3 PSN for $10 as well)

Just buy the GotY edition, all of the Creation Club content is available for free in that version

Also GotY is like $20, no reason to be buying this version
February 8, 2026 at 5:11 AM
I've said before, the digital version is cheaper

And this comes out to ~$2 a game, so that's why it cost so much

Capcom arcade 2nd stadium will cost exactly the SAME when a physical is released for the EXACT reasons as this one

I know there was a lot of loud complaints about the pricing of this

I think I have a 'fan', oh brother🤦‍♂️

Or just someone who is looking for an argument for something they have stuck in their crawl.

Either way, I don't need someone looking to be a contrarian over an opinion I've strongly held for 20+ years
February 8, 2026 at 4:51 AM
It's the same reason I don't like Wii Remotes, they were (& ARE a gimmick)

They ruined an entire generation of games (that I still have a hard, if not impossible time getting into) because some of them don't have alternate control schemes or incorporated motion control in some way

Gimmicks are bad
One thing I learned is don't **** with people's childhood memories

Even if something sucked it was the greatest thing in the world to some little kid who grew up and never went back to re-evaluate that thing objectively

So youll always be wrong in their eyes even though in truth they just might be
