My thing with the art censorship situation is that it all needs to be able to exist. Especially the weirdo fucked up stuff that's horrible and makes you feel bad. Even the daft edgy shit you don't feel has a purpose. I trust no one to decide which art is morally ok! Certainly not corporations!

I like this thread. Liz makes some great points. I would gently push back against the idea of holding games to the same standards as movies due solely to the interactive nature of the former. If anything I'd compare them to theater, but the point of treating video games *as art* still stands.
I have many thoughts about this, one is I can't help but think this is all just shining a light on how games are still being held to wildly different standards than other media like film. I've played very few games like HORSES but watched so many films like it (as a connoisseur of arthouse horror).
