I don’t know who needs to hear this right now, but just in case it’s you, you matter.
Whoever you are and whatever you are.
Unless you’re a Nazi.
Or a TERF.
Or a cunt.
But everyone else, you matter.
And don’t forget that.

So Royal Mail/Post Office don't have to do anything.

Except now they're trying their best to force everyone online to do their own electronic declarations whilst they sit there as the cash rolls in!
garethaethwy.bsky.social
But the declaration is limited to filling in a CN22/23, right?

There is no extra customs work on out-going mail odds there @vivamjm.bsky.social?
And pretty sure the zone which includes the EU hasn’t changed since we left, and includes non-EU countries with whom there have always been customs duties.
Even domestic rates are extortionate.

Yeah but trickle down economics innit.
Ok so did didn’t work last time we tried it.
Out the umpteen times before that.
But this time, this time it’ll work…

I don’t think the cost of postage is to do with Brexshit, it’s more to do with Royal Mail being greedy bastards and having to make enough to pay decent dividends.
Even before we left, our postage rates were higher than most other countries.

Who cares if one more light goes out in the sky of a million stars?
Who cares when someone's time runs out, if a moment is all we are?
Who cares if one more light goes out?

Well I do.

Gwir iw.

Probably autistic.
Very much intact.
Man’s a cunt.

We didn’t make many friends during our last 35-odd years of membership, did we…

Actually, here’s an interesting one…
Irish politics was defined for many, many years by reference to the 1922 treaty.
I wonder if British politics will be similarly defined by Remain/Leave viewpoints?

Personally, I think it will.

I think Many (or at least a significant proportion) of voters voted Labour more to vote against the Tories in the (I think deluded) hope that Labour would be more pragmatic in power.
Basically, politics in the UK is f*cked.
Possibly for a generation.

It'll be a fight to the death with his vanity...

I still believe that NF doesn't want the top job, because it'll mean he'll have to do something, he'll have to give up the grift, and he'll know it'll shine a lot of light on him. And being lazy, grifting, and avoiding scrutiny run through him like a stick of Blackpool rock.

Tonight on the Bear Cave menu (top table only): belly pork, mash, peas, and baby corn.

Lower tables: spam.

Vegetarian/vegan option: Oxford commas.

Scraps and scrapings that get past Bailey available at the cave mouth as usual.

But a foreigner is responsible for Brexit outcomes.

I am of course talking about US-born (therefore citizen) Turkish descendant Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson.

I too love the Euro.

But the currency nerd in me misses the legacy currencies, if only for the variety of designs.

First series of Euro notes was beyond bland, but understandable why. However, there were much better designs that were turned down.

To get to the point of signing an accession treaty, we would have had to agree to join the EMU. If we conduct the negotiations in bad faith, the EU isn't going to look kindly on our requests in those negotiations. And the negotiations would go at a slower pace than Türkiye's...

Being a good neighbour, listening to what the UK asks for, explain what isn't acceptable. You know, the normal things when it comes to international relations.
