I dunno. You don’t “become” anything. You one day connect the dots and realize who you’ve been since day one.
That’s not something you can control in others, or take away, no matter how hard you try.
You can however work really hard to ruin and fuck with people’s livelihoods. Which is evil.

I'm with Atticus here. I find LLMs to be an extremely powerful learning tool. But I don't think the "you can ask followup questions" framing really does justice to what's going on. At least not for me. It makes it sound like it's just being able to click links in a wiki article...
I continue to think LLMs are absurdly powerful for learning, and I'm using them more often for it.
The problem is that a lot of people don't have solid metacognitive skills around epistemics and autodidactism.
You've got to have a handle on what you know, how you learn, and if you're learning.

Wrote a long thread about a GenAI use case in response to some of the discourse that the For You tab keeps putting in front of me, and deleted it, lol.
Just, don't let others tell you what is the right or wrong way to create. Use all tools at your disposal, pick the ones that fit your needs best.

People used to draw inspiration from random name generators not that long ago. I’m also not so sure anymore that GenAI can’t come up with new ideas.
With that said, yes to the second paragraph. I would however take advantage of both: UBI and GenAI.
Only one of those is real right now though.

You can use AI to create art while continuing to strengthen your own skills in whatever medium you prefer to express yourself with.
Both things are not mutually exclusive.
Creatively, what most likely will end up happening is that you will use AI as a collaborative partner.

I think the Tamagotchi Uni is one of the better modern Tamagotchi versions, but this new Tamagotchi Paradise is really cool.
The only thing is that the designs don’t feel very Tamagotchi-ish to me, but that’s okay.

It's nuts that Meta spent ~$70 billion building their metaverse vision.
Most went to hardware, sure, but Horizon Worlds is supposed to be the showcase, the reason for all that investment. It's baffling.
I tried it at launch, made my ugly bland character, and immediately lost interest.
