"Oh yeah? You like baseball? What if I make you smoke *an entire pack* of baseball?"

Out of idle curiosity I checked in on the mariners/tigers game at the bottom of the seventh, and it was 2-2. That was two hours ago, we are now at the bottom of the 14th inning, it is still 2-2.

I remember my mother didn't let me watch it (she thought it was rude) so I had to read my magazine to keep up. DA was my whole connection to most of TV, movies, and comics aimed at kids, since most of them fell under my mother's idea of "rude."
Cover of the February 1992 issue of Disney Adventures magazine. The characters Earl and Baby Sinclair from the TV show Dinosaurs are on the cover. The headlines read "Dinosaurs: Gotta Love 'Em! Top Secret Detectives. The Man Who Eats Bugs. Wayne's World The Great Gretzky." The cover promises an all new Darkwing Duck comic is inside

Lore is my favorite thing about baseball! I really enjoyed listening to baseball on the radio as a kid because the announcers had time to explain and contextualize things. I hope you find a team to root for!

Every 2 weeks, my wife, our kid, and I have Book Club. We each read a book and share it. There's a giant gavel, it's fun.

I just shared the People's Project, and read @mirajacob.bsky.social 's You are Here to the table. Thank you, Mira (also @theferocity.bsky.social & @maggiesmithpoet.bsky.social)

Yes, but also they won't pay you in anything but "exposure." So, not worth anyone's time, I would think.
We are a "4thluv" market, exposure only. No monetary or any other compensation for either the ezine or the print magazine

I give when I have a little because all we have is each other.

I hope they get one moment of peace. Fixing an immediate need usually doesn't solve the bigger issues (there is always the next round of bullshit), but one little moment knowing this thing at least is handled, I hope they get that.

I'm glad this helps!

Also, I think this is the plot of movie Memento (2000)?

Last night Lara and I got dressed up and went to the theater to see The Play That Goes Wrong. I love a farce, and a -live- farce is such an impressive technical feat.
A selfie of a smiling white woman with short curly hair, wearing big batwing eyeglasses and a bright pink lip. You can see part of her gauzy black dress with gold diamonds and large red roses. Flyer that is a prop for the play. It is a missing dog poster, there is a photo of an English bulldog on it. It reads: "Missing Dog

Winston

Breed: English Bulldog
Color: Brown/White

If spotted please call 206.677.8777"

Handwritten on the flyer it says "ASAP We need him for Act 2!"

I don't know if this helps, but the Mississippi state department of health has a free cookbook called Freedom For Life. You can find it here.

I wanted to take theater tech. Theater tech got to run the light and sound boards (also sit on the vending machine to run the spotlight). Wear black and a headset and make sure everything ran right? Heaven. I acted, danced, sang, played in orchestra, but couldn't do tech b/c I took the AP track.

Okay, I am done with the news today. I have a pizza birthday dinner to attend (someone in this house turned 11 today), and I need a little time to get my party face on.

Moonlighting. It sets the tone for the show really well. Silly mystery, zippy wordplay, and two smartasses who have romantic tension which comes out as slap, slap, kiss. You'll know pretty quick if you're into it or not (I super was).

After dinner out, I read a book with a cup of tea. On my way back to my car I heard live funk music. I followed it to a little theater and was let in for free to see the last hour of an excellent band. It was a really great time! Fun little community event.
Photo of E. Pruitt, bassist and band, performing on an indoor stage. People are sitting around tables listening. The sound board guy can be seen on the right, adjusting levels.

Larger, obviously this hobby would benefit from me living in a -larger- place. With a room for sewing (not a tiny desk in the corner of the dining room) and a giant table. I think though, I am going to figure it out because this hobby makes the artistic part of my brain very happy and I need that.

Not only do I have a library, my wife -works- at the library. This might be the way.

I bet I could. I might consider it in the future, but I will admit right now I am feeling very 3 years old about it; I wanna do it myself! [randomly kicks the air in a fit of pique]

I had never heard of this. Thank you! I will have to do some math.

I have two quilt tops I much want to quilt but I do not have the space to pin one of them and I somehow miscalculated the yardage I needed for my backing on the other. I know I could make my life easier if I quilted small(er) things (or lived in a smaller place) but I dream in big cuddly blankets.

Can we enter this in a spreadsheet or something for you Hank? My answer is 397.

Every time my kid adds a new food to her list of food she will eat it is a celebration for all of us. She is so giddy from the success of tonight's vegetarian corndog (delicious) and side of red bell peppers with dip (the dip helped a lot) that she is right now reading a kid's cookbook in bed.

Oh! I think that might be "Suffer the Little Children" which was collected in Nightmares and Dreamscapes.

So, similar to the The Conference, but otherworldly rather than just murdery?

I had been raised that I had to -feel- a certain way (usually thankful) and when I didn't I was in the wrong (an ingrata). But asking me to -do- a thing to celebrate with my people really helped; that is something I know I can accomplish.
