It's enraging to think about how many environmental and financial resources are being burned to the ground to allow for this new, absolutely horrible, version of adult Minecraft.

Bots that argue with bots.
"AI assistant" crammed into literally every app.
Not a genuinely good feature in sight.

Maybe it's the trauma, but I forgot that citizens united vs FEC was only 2010.

We've only had this particular level of hell for 15 years.
I'm still SHOCKED by the obscene rise in billionaire election spending since Citizens United in the NYT piece, despite already knowing that election corruption w/ $ was profound. (Recall that BCRA fought dangerous campaign $ in *2002*)

The article data didn't have a graph, so I made one to show it.

I mean, D.C. should be the 50th state because Hawaii and Puerto Rico should have their fucking sovereignty back.

Look, I'm just going to tell you... I've had a Verdant Tea subscription for going on 3 years now, and it's one of the nicest things I have ever done for myself.
Their tea is fantastic, it's in partnership with farmers across China, and I'll never be the same.

Lol. Lololol.
Accounts with the word "human" in their bio.

Pastme built this greenhouse, and now I've got a spot to go stand and feel warm.
Even when my bones ache with the weight of the world.

And some of my plants are even thriving in it.

Before the election, everyone: This guy Mamdani is a muppet.
After the election, everyone: This guy Mamdani is a muppet *with charisma*

Hahaha my electric company just reminded me that I bought my house 15 years ago yesterday.

So is it half paid off?
No. Because I got divorced a few years later, and had to reset the clock on the loan.

I finished a pretty solid (and dense, but solid) opsec zine, and now I am poking at options for safe distribution.
Ah, hobbies.

I don't give a single solitary fig about football or the big game, *except* that I want the patriots to always lose.
So in that regard, fuck yeah.

Seeing a painful amount of preying on hungry authors, lately.
Venerable magazine Harper's Bazaar is running its short story contest again, with the winner receiving "the chance" of publication in the magazine. Just one catch: per the wording of the guidelines, _just by entering_ you transfer copyright ownership of your story to Harper's parent, Hearst. 1/3

We don't live in capitalism, we live in feudalism. But our feudal lords are corporations, and we don't get harvest days off anymore.

TWIN CITIES

Armed Citizens Against Tyranny is a HONEYPOT action.

No one in the Twin Cities, including the MN Gun Owners association, knows anyone supposedly in this group.

Local orgs are STRONGLY urging folks to STAY AWAY from their planned "protest."

On a Professional level, it's really telling that digital companies have aggressively pivoted from "prevent harm to your employees" to "prevent harm to your reputation."

I went to verify this, and they don't make it clear on Submittable.
It sure is clear as day on their terms page on their website, though!

ogre .red/terms/ (broke link on purpose)
This cannot possibly be defensible, but don't risk it.
Red Ogre (@ogre.red) gets rights to your work upon *submission*.

And those rights are ridiculous. They can change your work, not credit you, use your work for advertising, or put it in an anthology.

Don't submit to this one, folks.
