I don't get it, why would you ask a question and then block the UK Defence Journal when you get a reasonable answer, what's that about?
Yeah, she blocked the UKDJ account before it could reply, that is amazingly telling, isn't it?
The account you're replying to is Scottish. 😂

Russian state outlet RT has been tricked by an April Fool's article into publishing a false story claiming the UK commissioned a new aircraft carrier - HMS Prince Andrew.

The original article said it would carry “infinity-hundred” jets launched via catapult.

UK Defence Journal tricks Russian state media
An April Fools’ Day article published by the UK Defence Journal was mistakenly reported as fact by Russian state media outlet RT.

Do you genuinely not understand what April Fools Day is?
Indeed, they're definitely spreading disinformation.
I tricked Russian State media into reporting nonsense about an aircraft carrier named HMS Prince Andrew with "go faster stripes and crayons", it's been a fantastic week.

A major milestone for Type 26 Frigate HMS Birmingham as a massive section of the ship, built at Cammell Laird in Birkenhead, arrives at @baesystems.com yard in Glasgow for final assembly. The Royal Navy’s future fleet is taking shape, and @geoallison.ukdefencejournal.org.uk went to take a look.
Not to brag or anything, but this only took four takes. 🥲
Taking your child across live railway lines at Nottingham station is probably not the best idea, but I'm no expert on parenting or railways.
It's a shame you felt the need to block a discussion on this point as you didn't want called out for your opinion not being particularly accurate but, anyway, have a good one.
I'm going onboard a Swedish warship taking part in NATO's operation 'Baltic Sentry' to guard undersea infrastructure from Russian interference.
🚢 The UK Defence Journal is heading onboard a Swedish warship for NATO's Operation Baltic Sentry, protecting critical underwater infrastructure in the Baltic Sea. Stay tuned for exclusive coverage of naval ops, interviews, and demonstrations! #NATO #BalticSentry
I didn’t know cars or rockets, so I figured Elon Musk was a genius. But I do know fighter jets, and he’s saying the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard, so perhaps his cars and rockets aren't too cool? (Nod: Rod Hilton)
Apparently, it would cost more than £600 for the Scottish Government to gather some emails about their involvement in securing frigate work. Instead of narrowing the request, they rejected it outright on cost grounds—now I’ve had to submit three separate FOIs. Efficient? Nah.
I was making the point that a URL could be created that looks similar enough to fool people, it's not really a form of verification.

This ship has broken down once in a decade, same with the sister ship, is that a lot of times or is it something relatively common for ships of this scale and engineering complexity?
