yup. he wasn't great but his art is still interesting and important. we can take little pieces of inspiration from things without professing undying devotion to artists. i think that's the healthy way to go about /all/ art anyway.

What can further make the experience strange is that buying a fursuit isn't just a business transaction. Some makers expect you to wear the suit for picture shoots as a requirement. Some expect you to join a club to just purchase the suit.

It's very parasocial.

Well I think most people are just used to the fact that if you can afford a certain kind of fursuit, you come from a certain kind of economic background.

Which also means fursuits become class symbols within the social ecosystem of a con.

This is just true. Christianity was designed to function as a small scale but wide reaching grassroots community effort. That's one of the things the Catholics actually do correctly.

But it doesn't function as intended on a mass scale.

I found out that there is a large conspiracy theory group out there who have a strong certainty that there is a deep state international agency that has free energy technology and that they will fake an alien battle to cause world war three.
