🇺🇸 The Liberty Bell was cast with the lettering:
"Proclaim LIBERTY Throughout all the Land
unto all the Inhabitants Thereof."
The legend is that it was rung
at the revolutionary victory in 1776.

Perhaps the resistance whistles of the blue cities
could then rightly also be called Liberty Whistles.

In 1873, the art dealer Goupil & Cie sent 20-year-old Van Gogh to their London branch.
He was left him lonely and adrift.
His path began to shift from selling art to creating it.

Snow is just a nice soft place to sleep, to a bison. They're impervious to the cold. There metabolism doesn't even flinch till it gets down to around -40°F.

The staff at longtime WCK partner restaurant RASA was hard at work this week preparing meals for families in the Washington, D.C. metro area affected by the winter storm. They served up bowls of comforting chicken tikka masala over rice, a popular and flavorful classic! #ChefsForDC
