If American companies cannot supply a cheap weapon that consistently works in Ukraine, then the entire idea of mixing high and low capability weapons in the Pacific is dead on arrival. If you can't deal with Russian EW then you definitely aren't going to like Chinese EW.

The bit in here that’s going to cause people to take drunken swims in the pentagon marina is the transition from CAS->GAAP
There are rumors about A&S and R&E re-merging which would track with the “everything old is new again” that’s happening atm but I haven’t seen anything specific about it. Functionally tho you’d expect a lot more of R&E in this about rapid prototypes, etc
