Tbh this is usually stuff I see recommended somewhere and I want to know WHY it was recommended

And then I wonder why the fuck I've just read an 800 page book that feels like a detailed set of notes for a trilogy of books... 🥲

Or a game whose story and gameplay is NOT working for me....

Conceptually, I understand "if it sucks, hit the bricks"

But also I sit there going "ah, but maybe the next bit will redeem it and I'll suddenly like it"

When that has happened exactly once for me, and it was a book by an author I love. Every other time, I finish the thing and hate it...

With AI generation you just type what misinformation you want and it makes it? There's no guard rails here. It just makes infinite fake political images for you....

When that was a Photoshop. it's literally been hanging around the internet for years w/o that caveat

The ability to generate infinite negative images related to politics with 0 effort or skill is DANGEROUS

It's all about making you doubt what you see online

And it's the reason I think AI generated video should never have been allowed to exist. It's an incredibly powerful misinformation tool

Like, the more AI you generate of real heinous events that are happening in the world, the more the people who are DOING those things can use plausible deniability?
"Oh no, that video is AI generated" to an actual legitimate video of an event that really happened

Shit like this literally poisons the well, and its entire purpose is to make you believe REAL videos of this heinous shit might be fake

Even if this is really happening, it doesn't mean you should accept AI generated versions of events - because the AI versions are dangerous misinformation tools
