The very few who know me on here will be aware that I am currently very interested in AI and particularly its use in coding and information systems. I did my MSc dissertation on UI v AI 30 years ago. Plus ca change..
I found this priout of an OHP slide I did for my MSc ISE 30 years ago. Interesting to read again in the context of AI. Is a LLM a 'Black Box', a 'Glass Box' or a tool as part of 'Strategy Control'?

TBF, Wolves are doing a bit better lately. Just hope they don't take Derby County's "as mathematically the worst team in the Premier League era."

My Timing system software project is continuing apace with the assistance of Claude Code CLI #AI.

Little by little, perhaps I'll rename 'my' Claude to Eric 😜
Oh hang on...

It reads screen shots of the legacy system well and so far my attempts at explaining what happens at a real speed hill climb.

Have some compassion for use Wolves supporters :(

Never realised all this happened! Thanks for your work, which was an inspiration to me back in 2020. A trusted source of information, along with one or two others who I see are here.

I've got half a mind to agree with you. The other half [1] isn't so sure.
[1] By that I don't mean SWMBO [2]
[2] I expect you have a rule for that Rumpoleism too! [3]
[3] Too many footnotes ERROR.

Top of the morning to you Claude. Do you feel 2.222% recurring smarter this morning?

Ha! I see what you did there — upgrading from Opus 4.5 to 4.6 gives a neat 2.̄2̄% bump. I appreciate the mathematical wit!
Whether that translates to me actually being 2.222...% smarter is another matter entirely —

I suppose Grok will write AI slop to replace their work.

Tricky cove, belief. Almost as tricky as Faith. Discussing some philosophical points with people who hold views as articles of faith can become pointless.

Given who the Duke of Lancaster is, you might think this would have higher priority. The real question, however, is how the EA allowed this illegal dump to get in to this state in the first place ?!

It was bad enough having to deal the noise nuisance from dogs trained to bark at the slightest thing, then kept in a small garden all night with a public footpath just a fence away.

But, but Alice you are a spring chicken! I'm having an Xray on Friday morning. Perhaps the first rung on the ladder towards a replacement hip joint. Being a biker I fancy one with a grease nipple.

A French motorcycle - whatever next? Voxan 1000 Roadster in the paddock at Prescott speed hill climb 2007.
Faster than rider, despite being a lardy semi-custom bike.
Went well in a straight line though. 99 mph through the finish at Shelsley Walsh that year.

So Staffordshire Moorlands ? Great motorcycling country though the traffic can be bad. Even a trials riding experience centre overlooking the Roaches apparently.

A family tradition/myth in my house is that eating a mince pie on each of the twelve days of Christmas represents a 'happy month' for the year ahead. Ignoring the fat and sugar blowing your calories limit and upping your cholesterol, that is.

I shall be going to my U3A creative writing course this Friday. After each of us reads out our latest <500 words piece, the others write short comments on small pieces of paper (anonymously)and pass them to the author. Moltbook 'users' should do the same 😂

My "white hat" was hung up years ago, but never mind the fat and sugar, what about the food hygiene? Are all these dark kitchens properly registered with their local authority Environmental Health Department so they get inspected regularly (at least in theory)?
