Update: The US National Debt has now surpassed $39 trillion. It was $36 trillion when Trump took office earlier this year. Trump’s tariff manipulation has also nearly wiped out entire industries across the United States, countless now unemployed.
The official statement from the MAGA White House as the US hits a rapidly increasing all-time high $38 trillion national debt, is:

“At this moment in time, the ballroom is really the president's main priority.”

Another baby has just died of whooping cough in Kentucky, thanks to RFK Jr. and his merry band of anti-vaxxers.

My feeling toward RFK Jr. and the Republican Senators who confirmed him is utter contempt.

Please watch this.

The Senate killed a bill to ban state regulation of AI by a vote of 99-1 this spring. Now the industry - eager to stay unregulated - and Trump are scheming to shove the provision in the national defense bill.

You need to know this, so you can help stop it.

I would meet with the FBI agents. I would give them a lesson on:

1. First Amendment to the Constitution.

2. Congressional immunity under the speech and debate clause.

I would then show them the door and tell them to fuck off.

RealPage allegedly helped landlords price-fix and jack up the cost of rent.

Instead of cracking down, Trump's Justice Department struck a “deal” that lets them continue to rip off renters.

Is that the art of the deal or a sham? RealPage called it "an endorsement."

Thom Hartmann argues Trump's threat to execute lawmakers for defending the Constitution is a criminal act and a declaration of war on the rule of law. This demands a forceful response: immediate impeachment and prosecution to prove no one is above the law.
Trump broke the law with this horrible threat — and it will be his doom
I’ve been feeling something unusual these past few weeks: optimism. Not naïve optimism or the kind that ignores danger, but the real kind that arrives when you see people waking up, standing up, and refusing to bow before a lawless president who believes rules are for suckers and the Constitution is ...

The EU plan would be to deploy €140 billion (£122bn) of these assets as a zero-interest “reparations loan” to Ukraine, providing Ukraine with urgently needed resources.

That last paragraph is a poison pen addition. Soldiers must disobey illegal orders, period.

Orders they must presume are lawful means “just follow orders.”

Illegal orders remain illegal no matter which member of superior rank gives them, or how much they coerce the recipient of the illegal orders.

The military has a duty to refuse unlawful orders, but Congress has a duty to remove from office a president and secretary who would issue such orders.
