yet it sits incredibly wrong with them the moment they start pretending these characters are real and that they are defined solely by a singular moment (which is especially ironic in the case of mouthwashing)

they fully have no issue with the idea of critiques of capitalism within a capitalist context that doesnt do anything to further any real cause, as well as continually profiting off the setting / characters with little toys

in the case of the anya nendo, the exploitation via capitalism as well as how art is not a useful tool to meaningfully fight fascism are both outright ignored in order to defend the idea of merchandising the game so long as it feels morally tasteful to prudes and their deluded ilk

the mouthwashing "discourse" lately sorta makes me think about a concept i like to call the "shitlib zone." that is, whenever there is something that might be deemed problematic, it's done so in a context where the so-called problem is basically the least-problematic aspect of the full situation

One cool feature of Steam is they provide a Harassment Zone for each game you announce. It's a place for people who hate progress to come and crap all over games they haven't even played. No, they won't help you moderate it, but hey, at least you can't delete it!
